Welcome to our comprehensive course on Medication Administration in Developmental Services. This training is delivered in eight standalone modules and is designed for developmental services staff, including nurses, developmental service workers, and personal support workers. It provides the essential knowledge and skills required to safely and accurately administer medications.

Through clear explanations and detailed procedures, you will learn how to administer medications across various formats, recognize the intended therapeutic effects of key medications, and identify potential side effects and adverse reactions. The course also covers requirements for proper documentation, including recording medications given and monitoring their effectiveness. Additional topics include the administration of controlled substances, special considerations for PRN medications, and best practices for addressing medication errors.
