By completing this independent online course, you will acquire the necessary understanding and assurance to effectively address a potential opioid poisoning emergency. Throughout the course, you will gain insights into various topics, including:

• Understanding the extent of the opioid crisis in Canada
• Recognizing the impact of stigma
• Exploring the nature of opioids and their effects on the body
• Familiarizing yourself with Naloxone and its purpose
• Learning the proper response in a suspected opioid poisoning emergency (Check, Call, Care)
• Discovering ways to take care of yourself during and after a crisis
